The Rudder boys basketball team ended the season with a 90-70 thumping of Magnolia West in District 21-5A play Tuesday night at The Amory.
Junior Jaquise Martin showed the Rangers have a bright future by scoring 35 points. Ryan Campbell added 13 as did Kayden Holmes. Rudder (15-18, 5-9) scored at least 25 points in every quarter except the second. Magnolia West (5-24, 4-10 had 19 points in the second quarter to pull within 38-37 at halftime.
Xavier Portales had 20 points for Magnolia West and Brandon Taylor added 16 and Cash Wilson 14.
West won the JV game 57-50 in overtime and Rudder won the freshman game 63-43.
