CROSS COUNTRY

CSMS boys and girls win meet: LEXINGTON -- The College Station Middle School girls and boys cross country teams each won team titles at the Lexington meet Wednesday. The girls scored 39 points, and the boys scored 48 points

Kelsie Warren led the CSMS girls, finishing in 13 minutes, 26.07 seconds to take second place individually. Shayleigh Vinson (13:52.90) placed sixth, Emily Caruso (14:02.98) was eighth, Morgan Livingston (14:14.66) was 10th and Celeste Brantley (14:33.67) finished 13th for CSMS.

Jay Payton (11:49.33) finished third for the CSMS boys, while Nick Boardman (12:13.58) was sixth. Marco Roque-Andrade (12:42.22), Jermaine Mills (12:43.91) and Robert Stanford (12:45.36) finished 12th, 13th and 14th, respectively.

FOOTBALL

Bellville 8th grade 20, Navasota White 0: The Navasota eighth-grade White was shut out by Bellville on Thursday.

Playing well offensively for Navasota were Desmond Henderson and Rogelio Ezpinoza. Chris Harris, Marcus Lys and Trevin Pomier also played well defensively.

Bellville 8th grade 33, Navasota Blue 0: The Navasota eighth-grade Blue was shut out by Bellville on Thursday.

Navasota's Anthony Small, Hunter Sparkman, Jalen Woods and Greg Chatman all played well offensively. Defensively, Deionnte Taylor, Bo Meece, Jalen Meece and Shaun Frazier played well.

Round Rock McNeil Freshman 17, Bryan Silver 8: ROUND ROCK -- Fred Pittman ran for a 35-yard touchdown and Ryan Way added the 2-point conversion in the loss for the Bryan Freshman Silver on Thursday.

Round Rock McNeil Freshman 46, Bryan Blue 28: ROUND ROCK -- Chris Morrow had a 1-yard touchdown run and returned a kickoff 70 yards for another score for the Bryan Freshman Blue.

Larry Workman had touchdown runs of 5 and 1 yards. Chris Johnson and Isaiah Jones each had a conversion run.

VOLLEYBALL

Consol now 3-0 in district play: The A&M Consolidated Lady Tigers swept Killeen Ellison 25-2, 25-11, 25-3 in District 12-5A action Friday.

Kelsey Kinley had eight aces and 11 digs for the Lady Tigers (20-7, 3-0). Consol's Karla Gibert had seven kills, while Bailey Gillum had 20 assists and Erika Arthur notched five blocks.

Consol's JV won 25-8, 25-9 and the Consol freshmen 25-22, 25-19.

Consol will play at Killeen Shoemaker on Tuesday.

Bryan gets five-set win over Belton: BELTON -- The Bryan Lady Vikings needed five sets, but pulled out a 25-19, 25-18, 20-25, 23-25, 16-14 match win over Belton on Friday.

Reagan Boenker had 19 kills, two aces and 14 digs for Bryan (11-13, 2-1 in District 12-5A). Tiffany Regmund added 18 kills, four aces and 18 digs. Kaylee Piatt dished out 43 assists and had five kills and 21 digs while Emily Cowley had 19 digs.

The Bryan JV won 25-22, 25-20, but the Belton freshman team won 25-20, 23-25, 15-9.

Bryan hosts Killeen Ellison for parents night on Tuesday.
