AUSTIN -- Two A&M Consolidated girls swimmers competed Saturday in the Class 5A consolation finals of the UIL State Swimming and Diving Championships at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center.
Stacie O'Shea placed 16th in the 100-yard butterfly in 1 minute, 2.32 seconds. Robyn Miller also placed 16th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.98.
Both the Consol boys and girls 200 medley relay teams were disqualified Friday during preliminaries.
In Class 4A, Brenham's Guy Buls placed ninth in the individual medley in 2:01.73. Buls also placed 12th in the 100 backstroke in 56.04.
Brenham's Monica Mick placed 13th in the girls 100 backstroke (1:02.64). Caroline Young placed 16th in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.14).
Mick, Young, Kathryn Frederick and Kate Gillespie finished 11th in the girls 200 medley relay in 1:56.15.
Humble Kingwood Park used a dominating performance to win the 4A boys team championship, winning all three relays and four individual events in amassing 277 points. That was 118 points better than runner-up Texarkana Texas.
Dallas Highland Park defeated Frisco in the final event to take home its 10th consecutive 4A girls team title.
The Woodlands won the 5A boys team crown with 225. Southlake Carroll was second at 216.
Humble Kingwood won the 5A girls title with 167 points. San Antonio Churchill and Southlake Carroll placed second and third with 146 and 138 points, respectively.
