Bryan Harvey parlayed an 11-run third inning into a 12-4 victory over Madisonville in a matchup of unbeaten Minor Girls teams Saturday night at Weedon Ballpark.

Harvey will await the winner of Monday's Madisonville-Hearne elimination game in the 9- and 10-year-old softball double-elimination tournament.

Hearne and Madisonville play at 7 p.m. on Monday.

After having only one batter reach base in the first two innings, Harvey sent 16 hitters to the plate in the third to break open a scoreless tie.

Gini Holtkamp led off the inning with a walk and scored when Madisonville was unable to retire Brianna Salinas at first base on a sacrifice bunt.

Allison Vaughn plated Salinas with a double down the left-field line and Jenna Snelgrove, Rachel Agnello and Katelyn Francis each followed with singles to put Harvey up 4-0.

After a fielder's choice, Madison Rodgers and Jessica Garrett walked, the latter forcing in a run. Holtkamp follwed with an RBI single down the left-field line and Salinas made it 9-0 when her groundout to second scored Holtkamp.

After three more walks and a wild pitch that scored Vaughn, Francis knocked in her second run of the inning with her second hit, a single up the middle, before Madisonville could get off the field.

Madisonville tried to make a game of it in the fourth, scoring four runs with some aggressive baserunning and a single up the middle by Camryn Frederick.

Raegan VanCour's grounder to first produced two of the runs when the throw to the plate was late and wild. Frederick scored from third and Vasquez came around from second.

Madisonville could have closed the gap even more, but Holtkamp made a nice catch in left field off the bat of Kacelyn Jarrell.

Snelgrove drove in Rebekah Hubacek for the final run of the game with a single up the middle in the fifth for Harvey.

Vaughn was the winning pitcher, keeping the Madisonville hitters off balance with her changeup. She struck out nine and only gave up two hits.

Vaughn got help from her defense, with catcher Francis throwing out a runner at second in the third and tagging out a runner at the plate on an assist from third baseman Agnello for the final out of the game.

Madisonville also had some nice glove work, with Vazquez throwing across the diamond twice to get runners and second baseman Emma Baker diving to her left to stop a grounder and then getting to her feet to rob Garrett of a hit.

Harvey got two hits each from its Nos. 2 through 4 hitters -- Snelgrove, Agnello and Francis -- and a hard-hit double from Katie Guerrero.
