Bryan girls blanks Harker Heights: KILLEEN -- The Bryan girls soccer team shut out Harker Heights 2-0 on Friday night.

Taylor Erickson and Kylie O'Connor each scored a goal on an assist from the other, while Ana Meyer was in goal for the shutout. Bryan out-shot Heights 26-10.

The Lady Vikings (12-6-1) will play at Copperas Cove at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Bryan boys beat Harker Heights 4-1: The Bryan boys soccer team improved to 4-3 in District 12-5A play with a 4-1 victory over Harker Heights at Merrill Green Stadium on Friday

Alex Cruz scored two goals for the Vikings, while Jose Cortez added another. Bryan also scored on a Harker Heights own-goal.

Abel Gutierrez was in goal for the Viking win.

The Bryan JV won 2-0 on goals by James Brewer and Mauro Fernandez.

Bryan will host Copperas Cove at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Consol girls end with 1-1 tie to Belton: After regulation and two overtime periods, the A&M Consolidated and Belton girls soccer teams had to settle for a 1-1 tie on Friday.

Trailing 1-0 at halftime, Consol got on the board when Avery Burns found Katy Turner to tie the game.

Consol (11-5-1) and Belton are tied for the 12-5A lead at 6-0-1.

Consol boys hand Belton first district loss: The A&M Consolidated boys soccer team took the District 12-5A lead Friday with a 3-1 victory over Belton in overtime.

Andrew Meyer scored on an assist from Ryan Armatys in the second half, but Belton tied the game with about 4 minutes remaining to force overtime.

In the first overtime period, Armatys added a goal of his own to give Consol a 2-1 lead. In the second overtime period, Bin Her sealed the victory with a goal assisted by Nicos Georghiades.

Henry Denoux had 17 saves in goal for Consol.

Both JV teams tied 1-1.

Consol (10-7, 7-0) will host Killeen Ellison at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

SOFTBALL

Bryan wins a pair in B-CS Tournament: The Bryan Viking softball team won two one-run games Friday at Central Park in the Bryan-College Station Tournament.

Bryan beat Lockhart 1-0 on a RBI-triple from pitcher Emily Peirce in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring Ashley Lara from first base.

The Lady Vikings followed that by rallying against McKinney Boyd in the bottom of the sixth. Kaitlyn Hathcox tied the game at 1 with an RBI double, driving in pitcher Jennifer Kasper. Catcher Jennifer Saxby then singled in Hathcox for the go-ahead run.

Bryan (4-1) will play San Antonio Holmes at 9 a.m. Saturday at Central Park.

Consol splits two at tournament: AUSTIN -- The A&M Consolidated softball team split a pair of games in the Austin Westlake Tournament on Friday, beating New Braunfels 12-6 before losing to The Woodlands 7-0.

Macy Hicks got the win against New Braunfels, with Sarah Halliwell getting the save. Kayley Smith hit a home run for the Lady Tigers, while Halliwell had a double and three RBIs. Alyssa Gregg and Jordan Berry each added two RBIs.

Consol (4-1) will face Vista Ridge at noon Saturday.
