Consol wins pitcher's duel: A&M Consolidated won a pitchers' duel 2-1 over Belton on Tuesday in District 12-5A action.

Consol's Kevin Bishop threw a complete game for his fifth victory of the season. Andrew Brown provided all of Consol's runs with a two-run homer in the second inning. Teammate Michael Todero was 1 for 3 with a double.

Consol (19-3, 3-0) will host Killeen Shoemaker at 7 p.m. Friday.

Rudder's Johnson no-hits Madisonville in run-rule win: Rudder's Will Johnson was one hit batsman away from a five-inning perfect game Tuesday as the Ranger baseball team beat Madisonville 15-0 in District 24-3A action.

Johnson (3-1) struck out nine of the 16 batters he faced to pick up his third victory of the season.

Rudder's Matt Fritsche was 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs while Austin Baron went 4 for 4 with a double and three RBIs. Blake Kopetsky drove in two runs to push his team-leading total to 32 RBIs this season.

Rudder (15-3, 4-1) will host Navasota at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Bryan's Krey Bratsen was 3 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI while Matt Byer was 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Jacob Sutherland was also 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs.

Wind shifts JV games: Wind damage at Copperas Cove's baseball field has forced Copperas Cove and Bryan to reschedule JV games at Bryan High School.

JV Silver games are set for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday with the Blue games at 3 and 5 p.m.

Consol's Sarah Halliwell (17-3) allowed one hit while striking out six to pick up the victory. Battery mate Sarah Allison was 2 for 2 with a home run and two RBIs. Sidney Parks was 2 for 4 with a double, a home run and four RBIs.
