Bryan girls roll to road victory: KILLEEN -- The Bryan girls basketball team beat Killeen Shoemaker 52-33 on Tuesday in District 12-5A action.
The victory clinches a playoff berth for the Lady Vikings (26-2, 9-1).
Carlisha Wyatt had 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead Bryan. Teammates Elizabeth Marrero and Carlette Wyatt each had 11 points.
Micah Marshall had three steals for the Lady Vikings while Gia Ayers had four assists.
Bryan will host Killeen Ellison at 7 p.m. Friday.

Consol boys fall in double OT: HARKER HEIGHTS -- The A&M Consolidated boys basketball team lost 68-64 in double-overtime to Harker Heights on Tuesday in District 12-5A play.
Justin Campell led the Tigers with 21 points while Kevin Jefferson had 20.
Consol overcame 30 turnovers and Harker Height's big third quarter to force overtime.
Consol (18-10, 5-3) will host Killeen Shoemaker at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

FOOTBALL
St. Joseph honors football players: Members of the St. Joseph football team were honored at the Eagles' annual banquet last week.
St. Joseph named most valuable players in three categories, with Alec Castilleja the Offensive MVP, Evan O'Connell the Defensive MVP and Chad Peevey winning Special Teams MVP.
Jazz Alejandro received the Heart Award, while Eric Ford was chosen as Most Dedicated. Mike Rathbone won the Leadership Award, while Michael Espitia and Austin Konderla shared the award for Most Improved.
The Eagles went 6-5 last season, reaching the first round of the TAPPS state playoffs for the second consecutive year.
