Blinn maintains top spot in poll: Blinn stayed atop the NJCAA/JCFootball.com poll for the fourth consecutive week after a 31-21 victory over Kilgore College on Saturday.
Blinn received five of the seven first-place votes and 138 total poll points, just seven points ahead of second-ranked Navarro College.
Tyler Junior College, which had been ranked No. 17, dropped from the poll after losing to Navarro 68-21. Trinity Valley Community College, the other member of the SWJCFC to be ranked last week, dropped from seventh to fifteenth after being upset by Cisco Junior College 27-24.

CSMS 7th White 36, Davila 0: The College Station Middle School seventh grade White shut out Davila 36-0 on Tuesday.
Cody Stabb had a 65-yard touchdown run for CSMS. Teammate Justin Garcia had a 40-yard TD run while DaMichael Henson had a 10-yard TD run. Coley Whittlesey scored the final touchdown on a 40-yard run.
Randy Cessna and Peter Williams each had a fumble recoveries for CSMS while Noah Burns had an interception.
CSMS (3-0) hosts Sam Rayburn next week.

CSMS 7th Maroon 40, Davila 0: The College Station Middle School seventh grade Maroon stayed perfect by shutting out Davila 40-0.
CSMS's Walker Davis scored on a 4-yard run before MacGregor Hines found Ryan Johnson with a 20-yard touchdown pass. Teammate Travis Tate scored on a 70-yard run. Quinterrian White had a 5-yard touchdown run, and Drake Carnes scored on a 35-yard run.
Defensively, Nick Kennedy, Matthew Albrecht and Desmond Payton played well for CSMS.
Tristan Batts and Bradale Smith were the offensive standouts for CSMS while Raymond Corbett and Smith played well defensively.
CSMS (3-0) hosts Sam Rayburn next week.

Jane Long 8th Red 20, AMCMS 0: The Jane Long eighth grade Red beat A&M Consolidated Middle School 20-0 on Tuesday.
Jane Long's Joey Clay caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Logan Pottberg while Titus Cooper ran for two touchdowns. Shaquilen Phillips had an interception and a safety while Jason Duran had multiple sacks.
Jane Long (3-0) will play at Brenham next week while AMCMS will host Brenham White.

Jane Long 8th Black 19, AMCMS 8: Quinn Haynes ran for two touchdowns and threw for another as the Jane Long eighth grade Black beat AMCMS.
Haynes scored on runs of 70 and 11 yards before finding Josh Gibbs for a 10-yard touchdown pass. Anthony Salinas converted a PAT kick. Gibbs, Reggie Davis and Michael Cadena played well defensively for Jane Long.
Brandon Jackson scored on a 40-yard run for AMCMS while Josh Schechter converted the PAT kick. Willie Richards and Deon Blue were the defensive standouts for AMCMS.
Jane Long (4-0) will play at Brenham next week while AMCMS will host Brenham White.

Sam Rayburn 7th Gold 27, Caldwell 0: Chris Arenas scored three touchdowns as the Sam Rayburn seventh grade Gold beat Caldwell 27-0 on Tuesday.
Arenas scored on runs of 45, 62 and 30 yards. Coleman Johnson scored on a 30-yard interception return.
Rayburn (4-0) will play at CSMS on Tuesday.

Caldwell 7th Orange 26, Sam Rayburn Blue 8: The Caldwell seventh grade Orange beat the Sam Rayburn Blue 26-8 on Tuesday.
Defensive standouts for Rayburn were Jeremy Johnson, Jeremy Welch, Keznick Washington and Cameron Carver.
Rayburn (3-1) will play at CSMS on Tuesday.

Davila 8th B 26, CSMS White 0: Daniel Sauls scored three touchdowns as the Davila eighth grade B team shut out CSMS White.
Clayton Bice also scored a touchdown. Garrett Hallmark had a fumble recovery for Davila while Lamon Burleson played well defensively.
Brady Manuel, Josh Newton, Cameron Krueger and Connor Griffin played well defensively for CSMS.
CSMS (0-4) will play at Sam Rayburn while Davila (3-0) will host Madisonville next week.

Davila 8th A 38, CSMS 8th Maroon 22: Quin Green scored three touchdowns as the Davila eighth grade A team beat the CSMS Maroon 38-22 on Tuesday.
Dre Murphy scored two touchdowns for Davila, while teammate Anthony Veal added one.
CSMS's Ryan Wagner threw touchdown passes to Carlos Malave and Ryan Stavinoha, while Alex Arseneaux had a touchdown run.
Defensive standouts for Davila were Carlos Duran, Corey Johnson, Peter Elarms, Justin Barnett and Colton Hunn.
Defensively for CSMS, Tyler Bishop had an interception, and Nick Terrazus had a fumble recovery.
CSMS (2-2) will play at Sam Rayburn next week while Davila (3-1) hosts Madisonville.

Brenham 8th 14, Navasota White 0: The Brenham eighth grade beat the Navasota White 14-0 on Tuesday.
Offensive leaders for Navasota were Marcus Lys and Desmond Henderson. Defensively, Rogelio Espinoza, Trevin Pomier and Asher Perkins played well.

Navasota 8th Blue 14, Brenham 8: The Navasota eighth grade Blue beat Brenham.
Offensively, Jalen Woods, Greg Chatman and Hunter Sparkman played well for Navasota. The defensive standouts were Woods, Sparkman, Derick Lewis and Shaun Frazier.
VOLLEYBALL
Bryan holds on for road victory: TEMPLE -- The Bryan volleyball team won a tough, five-set match 21-25, 25-21, 13-25, 25-16, 15-10 against Temple on Tuesday in District 12-5A play.
Bryan's Tiffany Regmund had 18 kills,16 digs, four blocks and three aces, while Reagan Boenker had 13 kills, 20 digs and two blocks. Chandler Johnson had eight kills and three blocks. Jordan Cumpton had 20 digs. Kaylee Piatt had three kills, nine digs and 45 assists, and Brittney Jones had five kills and six blocks,
The Bryan JV beat Temple 25-11, 20-25, 25-13 while the freshmen lost 25-11, 25-11.
Bryan (14-13, 5-1 in 12-5A) will play at Consol in the Crosstown Showdown at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
