Harvey softball moves on in bracket: The Bryan Harvey 9- and 10-year old softball team beat Bryan East 14 - 4 Friday night in District 33 action.

Harvey's Allie Browning was the winning pitcher, going four innings and allowing two hits while striking out 11.

Harvey's Tori Pope was 2 for 2 with a home run. Teammates Rachel Ullmann, Rosemary Fazzino, Allie Browning, Madelene Watson, and Nikki Smith each had two RBIs. The defensive standout for Harvey was catcher Ashley Lopez.

Harvey will face Franklin Bremond Sunday at 6 p.m. at Bryan West.

Harvey picks up third win of pool play: Mason Ray pitched Bryan Harvey to a 14-1 win over Franklin-Bremond Friday night in 11- and 12-year old Little League District 33 pool play.

Ray had seven strikeouts and gave up just one walk and two hits. Teammate Jake Fuller finished with an RBI and three runs scored. Other Harvey batters with two RBI were Myles Sheffield, Sean Arnold and Justus Bayer.

On Tuesday, Harvey shut out Bryan East 12-0 with Jake Fuller picking up the complete game victory. Fuller also drove in five runs and scored three.

Franklin/Bremond softball advances: Meagan McCarver struck out 11 as the Franklin/Bremond Minor girls defeated Bryan West 7-5 in District 33 action.

Trailing 4-3 in the top of the fifth, Franklin scored two in each of the last two innings behind clutch hitting by Alyssa Bienski, Courtney Johnson and Sophia Luna.

Luna went 3 for 4 while Bienski was 2 for 3. Johnson had a triple in the top of the sixth.

Franklin/Bremond will face Bryan Harvey Sunday at 6 p.m. with the winner advancing to the championship game.

College Station National beats Franklin: The 9- and 10-year old College Station National Little League team beat Franklin/Bremond 9-5 Saturday night at Weedon Ballpark to close out District 33 pool play.

Sam Barroni didn't allow a hit in five innings in relief work to pick up the win for National. Offensive stars for National were Cameron Griffin, T.J. Raniszeski and Dustin Amos-Holland.

College Station National will begin the District 33 tournament on Monday afternoon.

Harvey girls advance to semifinals: The Bryan Harvey 11- and 12-year old softball team is two wins away from a District 33 title after shutting out Madisonville, 10-0, Saturday night at Weedon Ballpark.

Brittney Jones threw a one-hitter for Harvey to pick up the win. Jones also had a double and scored two runs. Teammate Erica Russell scored three runs, while Hilary Hoffman went 2 for 3 with two runs scored.

Rebecca Peirce made final out of game, making a nice throw from third to get runner at first.

Harvey will face Bryan North in the winner's bracket on Monday at 6 p.m.

Bryan North stays undefeated in pool play: The Bryan North Major Little League team scored three runs in its final at-bat to squeak by Bryan West 7-6 Saturday night in District 33 pool play at Bryan North.

Both teams will advance to the district tournament and North (3-0) will be the top seed when it starts Monday.

Down 6-4 in bottom of sixth, North's Brandon Norris was hit by a pitch and scored on a Justin Duewall double. Duewall then scored the tying run on a single by Payton Holderman. Kenneth Robertson hit a double to get Holderman to third before Holderman scored on a passed ball to win the game.

Holderman also had a double turn into an inside the park home run in the third inning, scoring after a series of errors. Teammate David Rivera had three walks and scored two runs while Mason Hyman also scored a run.

North's Colton Provazek picked up the win in relief, striking out the side in the top of the sixth.
