SOMERVILLE -- The Somerville Yeguas beat Leon 40-31 in a shootout to open the season.
Somerville (1-0) had 482 yards of offense with 285 rushing yards and 197 passing. Leon (0-1) had 435 offensive yards with 419 rushing and 16 passing.
Somerville hosts Thrall on Friday while Leon plays at Kerens.
