SNOOK -- Brazos Christian scored 21 points in the first quarter and shut out Snook 28-0 on Friday.
Brazos Christian (1-1) held Snook to 92 yards of total offense and gave up just 2.96 yards per carry. The Eagles also recovered five fumbles and forced three more.
Cole Brigman scored Brazos Christian's first touchdown on a 2-yard run with 9 minutes, 17 seconds left in the first quarter. Four minutes later, Mark Norman scored on another 2-yard run, and with a pair of Ben Brown kicks, the Eagles led 14-0.
Brazos Christian's John Gustafson blocked a punt into the end zone, where it was recovered by Jordan Lightfoot for the third touchdown of the first quarter. Gustafson also led the Eagles with 13 tackles.
Brittain Bost wrapped up the game's scoring with a 52-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
Brazos Christian will play at Texas School for the Deaf on Friday.
