Rudder girls beat Taylor in 24-3A: TAYLOR -- The Rudder girls basketball team flew past Taylor on Friday night, building a 38-point halftime lead en route to a 82-21 blowout in District 24-3A action.

Jazzlyn Roberson led the Lady Rangers with 21 points. Contrece Tennell added 18, Lamaria Cole 15 and Taylor Tucker 11.

Rudder (9-2 in 24-3A) will host Cameron at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Bryan boys fall on last-second basket: KILLEEN -- Douglas McDaniel's basket at the buzzer for Killeen Ellison sent the Bryan Vikings home with just their second District 12-5A loss of the season as the Eagles won 55-54 on Friday.

J-Mychal Reese led the Vikings with 24 points, while Terrance Tucker added 16.

Bryan (23-6, 7-2) hosts A&M Consolidated at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Bryan girls beat Copperas Cove at home: Dani Fellows and Laura Briner had hat tricks to lead the Bryan girls soccer team to a 6-1 victory over Copperas Cove on Friday at Merrill Green Stadium.

Ana Meyer was in goal for Bryan (9-3-1).

The Lady Vikings will play at Belton at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Rudder girls shut out La Grange: Mara Boyd and Brooke Engel each scored two goals, while Kaitlyn Lampley and Sara Deleon combined in goal for the shutout as the Rudder girls soccer team blanked La Grange 4-0 on Friday night.

Rudder (5-1) will host Conroe at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Allen Academy beats Our Lady of Hills: Sara Brien and Jacky Lee each scored a goal for Allen Academy in its 2-1 victory over Our Lady of The Hills on Friday night.

Allen Academy (5-4-2) hosts Austin Reagan at 1 p.m. Saturday.

GYMNASTICS

Consol girls finish second: ROUND ROCK -- The A&M Consolidated girls gymnastics team took second in the Round Rock meet Friday. Round Rock won with 111 points, while Consol had 108.05 and Kingwood had 94.85.

Consol's Maddie Street won gold in the floor excercise, while Megan Schill won silver in the floor excercise and bronze on the uneven bars. Alison Garlick finished fourth all-around, including fourth on the balance beam and in the floor excercise. Maggie Drummond was fifth all-around with a sixth-place finish in the floor excercise and seventh on the balance beam. Taylor Chenault finished sixth on both the vault and balance beam. Lena Serhan placed ninth all-around, including fifth on the uneven bars and sixth on the vault.

Consol's Ben Guzman finished seventh all-around, winning the vault and placing fourth on the pommel horse.

Consol will compete next Feb. 12 at Beaumont Ozen.
