Rudder routs Yoemen: CAMERON -- A nine-run fourth inning jump-started the Rudder offense Friday, leading to a 16-4 victory over Cameron in District 24-3A action.

Matt Smith (3-1) got the win for Rudder, while Blake Kopetsky threw two innings of relief.

Kopetsky also had a double, triple, and five RBIs at the plate. Will Johnson had three RBIs, while Matt Fritche and Kyle Danford each added two.

Rudder will host Madisonville at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Bryan girls win on Senior Night: The Bryan Lady Vikings soccer team beat Harker Heights 5-0 on Senior Night to wrap up the District 12-5A season at 8-5-1 on Friday.

Laura Briner, Dani Fellows, Jessica Chicas, Brittany Little and Sierra Garcia each scored goals for Bryan. Ana Meyer was in goal for the shutout.

The Lady Vikings (16-8-2) will play at Tyler Lee at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the bi-district round of the playoffs.

Consol falls to district champ: With the District 12-5A championship on the line, the A&M Consolidated and Belton girls soccer teams couldn't settle things in regulation. Belton finally broke through, scoring in the 98th minute to win 1-0 on Friday at Tigerland Stadium.

Blake Martin and Shannon Shultz played well defensively for Consol, while Megan Eikenhorst made several saves in goal.

Consol (16-6-2) will face North Mesquite at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Waco ISD Complex in the first round of the playoffs.

Consol's JV tied Belton 0-0 and finished as district champions at 10-0-3.

Bryan blanks Temple: TEMPLE -- Emily Peirce's two-out, RBI single in the third inning turned out to be the game-winner Friday as the Bryan Lady Vikings remained undefeated in District 12-5A play with a 1-0 victory over Temple.

Bryan's Patti Gorzycki led off the top of the third with a single and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Meagan Kraatz. One out later, Peirce hit a blooper to left to drive in Gorzycki.

Jennifer Kasper (9-2) had 11 strikeouts and gave up only three hits.

Bryan (16-7, 4-0) will host Killeen Shoemaker at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
