College Station boys win again: The 9- and 10-year-olds from College Station broke open a tied game with eight runs in the fourth inning and beat Columbus 15-4 in the Texas East Section I baseball tournament at Weedon Ballpark on Saturday night.

The only team in the tourney with two victories, College Station moves into the winners bracket final to play Austin Western Hills, which had a bye and then beat Rose City West American 19-0 in Saturday's early game. The College Station-Western Hills winner will advance to the sectional championship game at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Kaiden Halley had a double and a triple and drove in four runs to lead the College Station attack. Jordan Bellows added three hits, including a triple, and Jose Herrera had two hits. College Station got extra-base hits from Bryce Linder, Kaleb Camp, Parker Smith and Keis Coronado, who drove in two runs.

Brandon Williams pitched 2 1/3 innings and recorded six strikeouts. Relievers Herrera and Luke Brock helped limit Columbus to four hits.

Madisonville 19, Elgin 0: ELGIN -- Madisonville's 10-11 year old all-stars beat Elgin, 19-0, in four innings Friday at the Elgin Little League field.

Madisonville will play at 8 p.m Sunday against the winner of the Rose Capital West-Washington County game.

Kasey Williamson and Dylan Hoffman both pitched two scoreless innings.

At the plate, Sam Bennett was 4 for 4, Matt Rudis was 1 for 1 with a home run, a walk, and two hit by pitch, Ben Phillips was 2 for 4 and Bryce Bennett had two singles.
