Junior Baseball

College Station 15, Bryan West 4

Five College Station pitchers teamed up to hold Bryan West to four runs in a five-inning, 15-4 victory at Southwood Valley.

Connor Fink, Blake Price, Kyle Weingand, Chase Hrncir and Kollin Goodman combined for the win.

Weingand scored four times with a single and two walks. Goodman was 2 for 4 with a three-run double and two runs scored.

Shane Campbell, who was 2 for 2 and walked twice, scored three runs for College Station. Andrew Hansen reached base twice when he was hit by pitches.

Bryan West will play in a consolation game at 8 p.m. Wednesday and College Station advances to play at 6 p.m. Thursday in the winners' bracket.

11-12 year-old Baseball

Bryan Harvey 12, Bryan North 2, 5 innings

Dylan Godfrey opened the game with a home run, and Bryan Harvey hit three more in the fifth en route to a 12-2 victory Tuesday over Bryan North in All-Star play at Harvey Field.

Trevor Russ pitched all five innings for Harvey, allowing two hits and striking out seven.

C.J. Sullivan followed Godfrey's homer with a double and scored on a wild pitch. Holt Van Etten and Brice Pendergraff reached base on walks and scored when Sean Arnold doubled for a 4-0 lead.

Harvey locked up the run-rule victory in the fifth with a rally that included three homers. Brent Westbrook and Zach Godfrey hit back-to-back shots. T.J. DeStefano then was hit by a pitch, and Sullivan singled, and Garrett Dohnalik ended the game with a three-run homer, his second home run in as many nights.

Safe on errors, Ryan Hawkins and Cooper Holmes scoredd Bryan North's runs. Hawkins scored on an overthrow and Mike Starnes' sacrifice scored Holmes.

Holmes had the longest stint on the mound, pitching two and a third innings in relief of starter Luke Estlund.

North has an elimination game at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Harvey will play in a winners' bracket game at 8 p.m. Thursday.

10 -& 11-year-old Baseball

Bryan Harvey 11, College Station 1

Justin Burleson struck out four batters in four innings in Bryan Harvey's 11-1 win over College Station on Tuesday.

The win gives Harvey a 1-0 edge in the best-of-3 tournament. The teams meet again at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Harvey Field.

College Station scored the game's first run in the first inning when Junior Herrera doubled to drive in Tyler Havens.

Anthony Voneiff, Harvey's first baseman, started the second with a double and tied the score on Tyler Slaydon's fielder's choice. Justin Allen walked and Collin Beamon's single scored Allen. Landon Little singled to left center and scored on Voneiff's sacrifice.

In the fourth, Harvey's Chris Hassell, Cody Jordan, Justin Allen and Ty Gibson walked. Beamon and Little reached on errors and all scored. Burleson walked to push home the game's final run.

9 -& 10-year-old Softball

Bryan West 6, Bryan Bonham 2

Bryan West's Lauren Galvan struck out 15 in a 6-2 victory over Bryan Bonham at West's Henderson Park.

Mariah Byer had two hits for West and Shannon Morris had one hit, but drove in two runs.

Bonham faces an elimination game at 6 p.m. Wednesday. West will player in a winner's bracket game at 8 p.m. Thursday

MONDAY

9- & 10-year-old Baseball

Bryan West 8, Bryan Bonham 0

MADISONVILLE -- Adrian Castorena struck out six and drove in two runs to lead Bryan West to an 8-0 tournament-opening victory.

Castorena pitched fiv innings and was two for three at the plate. Nathan Estradaq closed out the game on the mound and also had a double to center field.

Bryan East 14, Bryan North 8

MADISONVILLE -- Eric Rodriguez drove in four runs to lead Bryan East to a 14-8 victory over Bryan North.

Rodriguez had a double and a single in four plate appearances. Austin Herra was three for four with three singles and an RBI. Austin Hernandez was two for three and drive on two runs.

Adam Ramirez had an RBI with a two for four night.

North took a 4-1 lead with three runs in the third inning, but Bryan East answered with four runs in the bottom of the inning. East scored nine runs in the the fourth inning.

Chris Salazar pitched the first four innings to get the win. Rodriguez threw an inning and a third, and Ramirez close out the game, getting the final two outs.

Hunter Batton led Bryan North with a inside-the-park home run and a single. He drove in two runs. Hunter Dobbins went two for four, and Crag Bunch matched that, adding an RBI. Brannon Martin double in his three plate appearances and drove in a run.

Dobbins, Hay Montoya, Caleb Phillips and Batton pitched for North.

Junior Baseball

Grimes County 12, Washington County 11

NAVASOTA -- Grimes County edged out Washington County in an opening game Junior game of the District 13 Tournament.
