Bryan's Clark places in two events at state swimming meet

AUSTIN -- Bryan's Haley Clark took fourth in the Class 5A girls 100-yard butterfly and sixth in the 50 freestyle to lead the Bryan-College Station contingent at the UIL Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday.
Clark finished the 100 butterfly in 56.25 seconds. Midland's Natalie Hinds won in 52.96.
Clark finished the 50 freestyle in 23.70, while Fort Bend Dulles' Maddie Locus won in 22.85.
A&M Consolidated's Hayden Duplechain took fourth in the boys 5A 200-yard individual medley, finishing in 1:52.20. Cypress Creek's Jonathan Edwards won in 1:46.98.
Consol's Shelby Lerew also earned a sixth-place finish in the 5A girls diving, scoring 445.85 points. The Woodlands' Kelly Markle won with 519.15 points.
Brenham's Guy Buls took sixth in the 4A boys 200 individual medley, finishing in 1:57.10. Richardson Pearce's Adam Bull won in 1:51.34.
